Honor Gilad’s Return with a Tree

Jewish National Fund wanted to do something meaningful to celebrate the momentous occasion of Gilad Shalit’s homecoming. In his honor, anyone can plant a tree in Israel for free and send a personalized certificate to the Shalit family.

Gilad’s long-awaited homecoming stands as a testament of the value that we as a Jewish people place on freedom and democracy, on humanity, and on the sanctity of life.

This is an incredibly emotional time in Israel, and as we celebrate Gilad’s homecoming, we reflect upon the sons and daughters who can never be returned. Gilad’s return is an extraordinary miracle and we commend his strength and fortitude through such a difficult time.

We want to welcome Gilad Shalit home. Plant a tree in Israel today in honor of Gilad’s return on our website, www.jnf.org.

Want to do something else for Israel? Go to Baltimore’s community-wide Israel! A Morning of Advocacy, Education and Community. The event takes place Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
