Shalom! We haven’t even been here for one week, but we are already feeling extremely comfortable within the community of Ashkelon. Today (Tuesday) we worked in several different kindergarten classrooms, which was a wonderful experience. Each one of us was excited to work with the younger children. Although some of us have great difficulties speaking hebrew, we were able to bond with them through art, music, and play. We taught them about Baltimore, and they taught us more about their community and the rest of Israel. After the kindergartens, the group traveled to Tel Aviv. For many, it was their first time seeing the beauty of the city. We had time to shop in the market and walk on the beach. To conclude the trip, we ate a delicious dinner on the beach while we watched the sunset.
Until next time,
The Diller Alumi Group
