Last week’s Israel Advocacy and Awareness Committee meeting was wrapped in debate about the value of democracy, led by presenter Dr. Robert O. Freedman. The date was February 24, and Freedman said his goal was to talk about the Middle East as it stood that day. Though Freedman referred to the situation as, “a fast moving train,” one week later, of course, not much has changed. Nonetheless, it is still too early to judge what is really going on in the Middle East.
